London, Conclusion
On August 7, A and I flew back to Basel, Switzerland, and from there took two trains and buses back to Kandern, Germany.
I had a great time in London. I'm so lucky to have gotten to return to such a great place. I loved returning to sights I'd seen in 2016 (St. Paul's Cathedral, the south bank of the Thames, the Sherlock Holmes Museum) and forging trails to new places I'd never been before (inside the Globe, Windsor, Piccadilly Circus). It fascinates me how such an old city is always moving and changing yet simultaneously holding still and remaining. I don't know how London manages to do this, but this way of living seems to keep the place always thriving, rooted in history but also growing into the future.
