The Adventures of Roverandom // 01

Before I left home, I snagged one of my younger siblings' toy cars.  It was an old-fashioned one, possibly a little broken, but perfect for my plan.  My plan is to take photos of my little car in front of major places I see this summer, and at the end of August, I'll have a series of photos that show different locations all tied together by a simple toy car.

I've decided to call the car Roverandom after a short story of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien.  Roverandom is a cute story that tells about a puppy who gets shrunk into a toy dog by a grumpy wizard and then goes on adventures to the moon and back.  It's a fun lighthearted story and I feel like the name "Roverandom" works for a little toy car as well as a little toy puppy.  So enjoy the Adventures of Roverandom!

Part one of Roverandom's travels was at the cafe in Cannobio where the Ls and I ate lunch.  Right behind Roverandom, you can see a cup of Italian espresso and a napkin dispenser that says Espresso in Italy.  I didn't have any espresso but some of the Ls did.  I'm sure it was perfectly delicious.
